After a long developing and testing period, we are happy to announce the layered-styled map-set for the whole territory of OpenMaps.
Advantages of the new products:
Disadvantages (unfortunately there are a few):
To install the products it is possible to use Garmin Manager. It is the preferred way when using Windows, because by using Garmin manager only the updated data will be downloaded, instead of the unchanged part of the products (so it saves time). The other reason is the possibility of turning on/off the TYP feature (exclusive coloring).

The new structure of the map is very different form the formal structure, so in a few words we would summarize the new possibilities and the operation.
To meet our user’s expectation, from now we produce 17 different variations. p>
The map contains the following layers:
The same abbreviations can be found in the name of the layers.
The OMP CE (Areas+Routes) product contains surfaces, roads and POIs, and not contains the land contours and other highlights.
The OMP CE (Areas+Routes+Srtm+THL+BHL+TM+BM) product contains all of the available layers.
Height profile can only be created in the OMP CE (Srtm - Height Profile) product (which also a Garmin-like feature).
To see 'Height profile', after creating 'Track' or 'Route' it is needed to change to OMP CE (Srtm - Height Profile) product, and then choose 'Track/Route properties' - 'Show profile'.
To upload the products(=map-sets) to GPS, a new technique is needed to be done. So instead of clicking onto each map, press the left-bottom of the mouse and move it a little to any direction. Then check the chosen layers on the left hand side. As the layers are above each others, clicking on the maps (with the 'old technique'), only the layer on the top will be chosen. With the new technique all of the layers will be chose. The unneeded layers should be deleted from the list on the left hand side 'Maps' menu.

Please check for further info in the 'GPS features' topic bellow about turning on/off the map-sets. It is not needed to do the new technique in case of those map-sets containing only one layer.
Due to the new layered-style structure, a few things need to be done to archive a better result. When uploading the layers from the same map-set, then the layers will have the same name in the GPS ‘Map setup’. This burned-in Garmin feature makes the desired layer more difficult to turn on or off.
The problem can be avoided if each layer is uploaded form their own separate map-set.
Practically first decide which layer is needed to be uploaded to the GPS Unit. Then select the layers from its own map-set. If everything goes well, then each layer will have its own individual name in the “Map setup’ of the GPS, so they can be turned on or off easily.
It makes the uploading process a little bit more difficult (for the first few times), but it definitely worth it..

The difference between the two map-set can be found on the left hand side menu (different names appear in the second column).
